Payments

Everything you need to know, explained.

1- Flow of Payment – let’s use an example

Meet Harley, the Gigger

Harley offers a Bartender service since nothing can top his glorious mojitos.

Meet Grace, the Finder

Grace wants a barman for an event she’s planning at home and she decides to hire Harley.

Step 1: Finder orders a gig

  • Grace orders the bartender service for £20 plus another £15 for an extra hour of service from Harley.
  • Grace checks out through Paypal and the £35 are held by us (movaGig).
  • After successful payment, Grace will be redirected to the order detail page.
  • Note: We currently only support payments via PayPal.

Grace checks out via PayPal, after successful payment, she will be redirected to the order detail page.

Step 2movaGig holds the money

  • As the admin, we will keep the £35 payment from the Finder when the order is in progress. After the job is finished, and everyone is happy, movaGig will keep a portion as commission fee and send the rest to Harley (the Gigger) after he withdraws it.
  • We keep a nice and simple commission: 10%

Step 3: Gigger starts to work on the order

  • Time countdown (the time the Gigger set to complete the gig) begins when Harley presses the “Start” button. See the image below:

Gigger clicks on “Start” button to start working the order

  • In Harley’s revenue report, £31.50 is added to the “Working” column.

Note: £35 – £3.5 (10% commission) = £31.50

Step 4: Gigger delivers the gig.

  • When finishing the order, Harley clicks on the “Deliver” button once the gig has been finished, i.e. after his two hours of working at Grace’s event.
  • A pop-up appears for him to write a comment to Grace and attach a file (if needed). E.g: Someone hired you to create a logo for them so you send it there. In the case of Harley’s mojitos, no file is necessary.
  • Once the Gigger delivers the gig to the Finder, the order status will be switched to DELIVERED.
  • If Grace feels pleased with the service, she chooses “Accept” .
  • After the service is accepted, the Finder can leave a review of stars (out of 5) and a comment that will be public to anyone who views the Gigger’s service.
  • By accepting the delivery, Grace makes the order be marked as FINISHED.
  • Finally, in Harley’s revenue report, £31.50 is added to the “Available” (for withdrawal) column. And that’s it, it’s that easy.

Disputes

2- In case of Dispute (can dispute before or after order is delivered).

For some reason, Grace or Harley are not satisfied with this gig, he/she can press the “Dispute” button whether before or after the order is delivered.

The order status will be switched to DISPUTING.

In this case, we will play the role of the judge to make the final decision. Thus, we have the right to access all information related to the order, including Changelog, Messages in the direct chat box, and Attached Files (if any) to decide to either refund the Finder (£35) or send the money to the Gigger (£31.50).

Once the dispute is solved, the order status is switched to RESOLVED and the order is completed.

But come on people, let’s keep things cool 🙂

(see terms and conditions for more.)

Withdrawals

3- Withdrawals – how it works.

When a Finder orders a gig, money is directly transferred to movaGig so that we hold it until the service is complete. When a Gigger starts working the gig, the money will be converted to credit (virtual) in the system.

As you can see below, there are three columns in the Gigger’s revenue, including “Working”, “Available”, and “Pending”. The “Working” column displays the money you will earn out of all the gigs you are working on. After the job is finished, credits from the “Working” column are moved to the “Available” one. The Gigger will then have to make a withdrawal request (minimum £7) to get their money by requesting a security code which will be sent to your registered email. If you can’t find the our email then don’t forget to check under spam.

In the case of Harley, the £31.50 that were previously under “Working” have now been added to “Available” (for withdrawal), since the job is now finished and has been accepted by Grace.

After the withdrawal has been requested, the money will be shown under “Pending” until we accept the request and then send the money to the Gigger.

Currently, we ONLY support withdrawals via PAYPAL

  • Please ignore the “Bank Account” option for withdrawal since we currently are unable to send money to personal bank accounts, only to Paypal accounts.
  • We’ll keep you posted when we enable withdrawals to bank accounts.

IMPORTANT: For both Giggers and Finders, even though we only accept payments/withdrawals via PayPal, in order to pay/withdraw money, you must also add a bank account card (credit or debit) as well as your PayPal email in “Payment Method” in your profile. Otherwise, the system won’t allow you to do transactions in movaGig. We’re constantly working to improve our services so bare with us! 🙂
